It will fit, grease ale or not does not matter for fit
Sorry to bother you. I have only one doubt. Mog315g said 53.9mm( 2.125") between clip.
I ask my wife to check (i'm still out for work) and it seems 50mm is measurament wrong? Are you sure 315 will joint or there are also different model of mercruiser joint? Tks

What is the serial number on your drive? To my knowledge yes the 315 works for all the internal clip ones but if u get A different measurement let’s take a look what are the other dimension of the joint

Trying to find just how to measure is difficult, Found a iBoats thread which shows the Moog 315 is a bit different and didn't work on the Gen 2. That said I have the joint listed the same as the Sierra number for the A1 G1

It’s just below the lube vent plug on the port side of upper just below mercruiser sticker will have the serial number and drive ratio, will also be stamped in drive under the mercruiser sticker

if you have the serial number this is the best way to order parts

if you find the serial number you put it in here (there are other sites too) and this will take you to the correct parts for your specific unit

but i'm really worried that number won't really be there
anyway at home i can check the size properlly . is difficult from here to ask my wife to measure them :)
it is stamped in the metal so unless horribly corroded it will be under the sticker. Also worth a look if you still have the original paper work that comes with the boat when sold. Both boats I have had - a packet from the dealer that contains mostly garbage safety info also had a packet from mercruiser that listed serial number for engine, transom, and outdrive. Was lucky enough to have it included when I bought the boats used.
