Mercruiser 230ci vs. 250 ci interchangeability

So I just bought a StarCraft with a 230ci 150 hp mercruiser. My question is to what extent are 230ci and 250ci parts interchangeable (within the same year range). im trying to reliably find parts, particularly a gasket set and wiring harness and im wondering if some 250 parts will fit and if anyone has experience mixing and matching. It seems to me like the 230 parts are harder to find and somewhat more expensive. will external parts like starter/alternator fit on both? any advice would be greatly appreciated.

there considered the same for almost all the parts. just use the marine parts and not car parts.
