New to the site and haven't done a search yet. Problem I'm having is my crown will start an idle fine but when you hammer down on it it goes to 3000rpm and Boggs down. I'm thinking it is a fuel supply problem either with a weak fuel pump or maybe the accelerator pump. Boat sat all last year while my wife was preggo so I drained all the old fuel, cleaned the carb and installed a new fuel/water filter. Boat is a 210ccr w/a 350mag. Any help would be appreciated, thx.

You couled have up to three fuel filters in that system. My 4.3 V6 Mercruiser has a canaster fuel/water seperator that I installed plus the factory fuel pump filter, as well as the screen in the carb body. What usually caused the same problem for me was the screen in the carb body. Not a whole lot of time and effort to replace all filters. Good luck.

Ayuh,... Probably need to Rebuild the carb...
It sounds like the accelerator pump is workin' right though...

I forgot to add that you can rev the motor to 5200-5500 w/o it engaged but it wont rev like that under a load or should I say power the boat while in the water.

Ayuh,... Irrelevant....

A V8 will rev to the Moon when only runnin' on 4 cylinders, without a Load...

This sounds all too familiar. Ran rpm up in no load adn died under load. Always went back to the mesh filter in the carb body.
