Re: merc TNT guage

Start at the sender connected to the tilt mechanism, James. It will be a potentiometer that changes resistance as the tilt increases, changing the voltage sent to the meter/guage.

Re: merc TNT guage

ok i did a little troubleshooting and it seems as if the wire from my sending unit ot my guage is not hooked up. the wire on the engine is brown with white stripe, where it goes into the harness, the wire that is wired onto my guage is blue and is about 1 foot long. i looked at the boat end of my harness and didnt see the brown/white wire, among the seems like a million other wires. i am planning on trying again after the weather breaks
