Merc MPI Fuel Injector Problem?

I just bought a 2002 with a 4.3 Mercruiser with fuel injection. Have put 30 hours on it with no problems. Running today about 2 hours and engine died. I restarted and it ran for few minutes and died again. Repeat, repeat. Got tow home. Put boat on trailer and tried to start again two hours later, but now the engine wouldn't start at all. I noticed that the fuel injection pump was not running when put ignition in the ON position (prior to cranking) as it normally does.
Any ideas on how I troubleshoot this problem? Could it be the fuel pump? The pump relay?

Check fuses and breakers. Then check the relay. See if it has power to it and coming out when you turn the key. Good luck
