Merc 3.0L-PCV connection-confused

I have a silly question. My sister and I replaced a cracked head on my Mercruiser 3.0l. It's a 2003. Does the PCV pipe connect anywhere other than on the rocker cover? I see where it goes on to the rocker cover but not where the other end goes. Does it just vent out? I am not a mechanic by any means. But I can say we did it and it is running great so far. Just a few little loose ends to tie up.

It should attach to the flame arrestor....
Possibly with a simple metal strap across the top..

My sister who is the mechanical one has gone home. What does the flame arrestor look like? Whats it near? I can look it up online. At least we DID it and the boat is running.

Ayuh,.... It's the little aluminum air cleaner lookin' thingy on top of the carb....

Thanks Bond-O. You are speaking my language. I will hook up the PCV pipe thinga- ma- jig to the air cleaner looking whatcha ma call it. Jen
