We named our old 18' boat "Surreel Life". I think it's cute!

Re: Memorable Boat names you have seen

The "Change Oder" and "Original Contract" is now hanging up in my bosses office. He found that one hilarious (we're an Engineering Firm which also does construction managment/admin for Housing Authorities... I know ALL about Change Orders).

My boat was purchased with the name "Neutral Ground" (obviously an electrician owned it).

My GF came up with the new name... "Drift Wood".

Yikes, lol!

While traveling the Erie canal as a kid I saw a very impressive large yatch. It's name was "Hells Bells". Hanging off the back was a dingy called "Hells Bells Jr." For some reason this has always stuck with me. :)

After much thought, my 12 yr old son suggested "why not just 'Boaty'?", to which we added "Call", for the end result;

A few that have stuck out to me:

"The Mistress" - A beautiful yacht in Hilton Head SC
"Reel Addiction" - 25' CC with 2 250 HP's on the back
"Knot for Sail" - A 40 some foot Trawler at our local dock (Lettering looks like it was wrote out of rope)

My boat is The Subhunter Too. My first boat a little 12 footer with a 5 1/2 Johnson that my buddy and insurance agent called The Subhunter because of all the electronics I jammed into that little boat. :D

Re: Memorable Boat names you have seen

Bill Laimbeer(former world champion Detroit Piston) had a boat I used to see around Petoskey/Harbor Springs area in northen Michigan named:
"Nothin' but Net"

other notable boats I've seen include:

Deer Slayer
Salmon Slayer
Ruddy Duck(25' charter fishing rig)
Bounty Hunter
Sly Fox 14'(aluminum that used to troll amongst much larger boats and always needed to be sly to avoid being swamped by wake)

Sideboards(17' Boston Whaler that always trolled using planer boards)

of course I've seen plenty along the lines of "alimony" "the kids' inheritance" etc.

I think my boat is aptly titled "The Loon" as I am a bit eccentric- it's been named that for many decades prior to my ownership

When I lived in Jones Beach, NY back in the early 90's there was a sky blue 38' Scarab called "Double Trouble". The owner was Joey Buttafuoco. Presumably he was referring to his wife and his girlfirend.

One that I liked....also like the font that they chose, but don't care for it being on the side of the boat....

Re: Memorable Boat names you have seen

Sometime during the purchase negotiations, the previous owner of my boat said "No Strings Attached". There it was and it stuck.

The best one I've seen so far is "WINTER-SUX" of course you have to live up north to really appreciate that name and the further north you are the more you appreciate it.

A friend named mine. He was with me when I bought it and I paid cash for it so he thought the name was appropriate.

"OWN-IT"
