max rpm

I am looking for the max rpm for a 92 Mercruiser 4.3 V6 stern drive- it is on a 19 ft Rinker- I have been changing props to run at 8300 ft and rpms are way high I think- thanks

Ayuh,... 4600/ 4800rpms...

Sometimes its stated right on the engine cover, at least my 5.7 Mercruiser engines have it listed. Those are rated 4600-4800, which is pretty typical.
