The engine will have no problem with the rpm's. Its a fresh 347 10.8 to 1, balanced, stock gt roller cam etc. Just was wondering if the outdrive can take it?
The Cobra outdrive is designed to handle up to 300 hp. I don't see a big issue with 5500 RPM, however; your gear ratios may be off if you're changing to a different powerplant.
