The issue with going from 225 to 230 hp isn't so much the hp as it will be the weight. If your thinking 2 stroke 225 to 4 stroke 115 that will be a bit more extra weight
What does each motor weight?

USCG boat builders hand book. see page 57-60

However the important thing is the Weight that AD talks about

the boat builders handbook also discusses motor weight with regards to capacity

I haven't found a manual or much info on the boat since it's very old and the boat was taken apart and redone. Speed isn't my problem, i want two motors since im going out 15miles to go fishing and two motors will be more reliable. The boat is a 2180 century from 1995.

You will want two fuel tanks, plus the ability (fuel valves and piping) to run 2 motors from either tank. You will want 2 sets of batteries, and the ability (batt switches and wiring) to start/run either motor or both from any battery set.

For the rare occasions that you would need the second motor, have you considered a kicker motor? I have a 20hp kicker on my boat that isn't a speed demon but will get me back to the dock.

I have, it's my cheapest option. I think thats what I might do. Thanks!

your boat is only a 1995

you should be able to find sales documentation on the Century website, or call their customer service department

there are no such things as manuals for boats like there are for cars (with very very very few exceptions - only 6 manufacturers out of about 150,000)
