Ihave been readiing some thread conserning the kill switch test and i youst want to ask this stupt ? Were is that black/yellow cabel is it the one conect on key switch or the one on the powerpack

oh sorry is for my 1983 7hp jhonson

Same wire, if you disconnect at the engine it will just eliminate all the wiring in the harness. If it starts when disconnected at the engine, then you have to check it at the switch.

What is the problem your having that is making you want to test the kill switch and in general what problem are you having?

You have a remote control for the 7hp?

Either way the yellow stripe/ black wire is the same circuit for both.

Will ground out if the key is turned to the off position or the kill switch is pressed (Or the lanyard is pulled).
