i know that they existed, but finding info on marquis boats is like trying to find a screen door for a submarine, does anyone have any info on this manufacturer, do or did they exist and how long, were they bought out or just went out of buisness, my boat says marquis on side and the plate on the stern says riviera i/o, marquis boat company hartsville s.c. any info would be appriciated,also i have read some bad things on the motor ,470 merc,what is that about i've had this boat for three years, and countless fishing and skiing trips with no problems ,exept it seems to get hot after pulling a few skiers. but we just take a break and let it kool off. also only runs on high test gas otherwise it will seem to deisel when you turn it off. thanks for any help!!!
