I own a 1980 marqui riviera, witha470 mercury 4cyld. and mercruise outdrive,the i.d plate says the boat was made in hartsville s.c ,I have been searching for various parts,i.e bimini top and other interior items that need to be replaced,but have had no luck in even finding the manufacturer listed anywhere, also need to try to make it power steering,i am handicaped recently and have a hard time steering. any help would be appriciated.Love my boat just want to update certain things for my disability cause my kids love to ski..

original part are like needle in a haystack. never heard of the brand. i boat sells bimini tops, they are generic. power steering post this in the mercruiser forum.

i would like to thank you for youre info ,still have no luck on manufacturerinfo but from what i gather people arent very impressed with the 470 merc, i have had no trouble to speek of with it exept it only runs on hightest gas, you seem to be knowledgeable on boats ,so should i spend more on steering or look for a boat. once again from one carpenter to another thank you.

thank you for youre info still have no luck finding manufacture info on boat but from what i gather the 470 merc arent very popular ,what do you think,you seem to be knowledgeable should i spend lots of $on steering or look for another boat ,so far only problem ive had is it will only run on high test gas

if you want to have a water sports boat, look for something with atleast a 6 cylinder 4.3L or larger.

You'll have to make do as far as parts go, I'm afraid. There are a few around for sale, but that's about it.
