Mariner, powerhead, identification

I have a 2 L mariner, powerhead serial number D050422 on the freeze plug and OD 123391 on the transom mount… checking to see if it is actually a 2 L Bridgeport powerhead if anyone could help me that would be greatly appreciated??

0D050422 = 1991 MARINER 2.0L 150 XL, model number 7150422YD.

0D123391 = 1992 MERCURY 2.5L 150XR6 ELPTO, model number 1150453MD

I will take a picture of the engine cover that says Bridgeport on it for some reason

yeah, tha L, you mean 20" or 2 liter?.. replaced tha 2.5 xr6 power had with a plain jane 2.0......
cowls/decals don't mean much now days....

Was hoping it may have been a real Bridgeport, but I guess not according to the serial numbers

not a bridge port cowling either.. justa a decal on tha front.. its a standard production cowl....

It is a Design of of the Ports, which improves the Volumetric Efficiency of the Engine

this thread gives a little infomation into tha high performance side of merc in tha 80's and very early 90 models.... '91 everything changed (parts wise).
