viper;

Your engine is:

30 EO 689-251316 - 1994

From here:

Parts Listing:

It appears to be a Mercury engine. Is it any good? People have operated Mariners for years with good care and maintenance. In my experience only, the engines worst enemy is the operator. Those that choose to explore their engines and learn at least the basics of the required maintenance and read problems correctly when they happen are the ones who have the engines the longest.

Re: Mariner 30EO Merc or Yamaha?

Today I watched parts catalogs from Yamaha, Mercury and mariner. Cylinder block in my mariner 30EO (1994) is the same as Yamaha 30A (1985).

The same is the intake manifold, carburetor, etc..

Mariner 30EO:

Yamaha 30A:

I was hoping that the mariner 30A is a newer technology, because Yamaha 30A is almost 30 years. I hope that will be around
