Bought used 10 years ago but the factory carpet had never been used. Over the years it has gotten plenty of use and now needs to be replaced. And over the years I have been reupholstering section by section always using the same great shop. This coming spring we’ll be doing the carpet and the shop owner said he has had good success with and recommends “Compass HB Marine Flooring”. It’s a PVC woven top with a soft backing (link). And while they use the word flooring it will snap in and out like a carpet. It sure looks nice but I cannot find any reviews or real use feedback on it. Does it get hot in the sun? Does it absorb water? How’s the feel on bare feet over hours? Like that.

Anyone out there with experience of this product? Thanks!

A buddy has this in his boat and I cam confirm it is hot on the feet. He is going to go back to snap in carpet next year.
