Hey guys! I have a good one for you. I have a Raytheon fishfinder/depth finder/speedometer. Push small red recessed push button for power--hold button in to power down.
I have been working on the boat so I left it uncovered. For three days, when I went out to the boat, the fishfinder was on. I would power it down and when I returned the next day, it was on again--3 days in a row. I finally unplugged the power cord. Now, I know that I turned it off each time. It would say powering down and the screen went blank. I also know it can not go on by magic.
I was reinstalling a new tach and turning on and off the ignition but it is not connected to the switch. I don't think pulses of electricity generated by working the ignition switch would cause it to go on automatically. So, my theory is that a bird was lighting on the steering wheel and pecking at the red on button. Waddaya think?
