Re: Lower shift cable adjustment ?

The installation was text book. I don't believe I damaged the cable.

I have pulled the drive and the "grub-screw", as Chris called it, was pretty tight. So I adjusted it as Chris described in an earlier post. I did not find anything else wrong.

If that set screw was that tight, then you didn't change the cable "Text book" and why I asked about that set screw up in post #12.
Here is from the OEM service manual.

Re: Lower shift cable adjustment ?

Thanks Chris and Don. I'll check it out in the morning.

You're right Don, I guess it wasn't "text book".

I thought I was giving both you guys credit for the tips on where to look.

My apologies if offence was taken.

Having said that, I have r/r'd the drive and hope that solves the problem.

Thanks to all that responded.....,

Ken

No offence was taken. Just pointing out for future readers of this forum that the little details in the manual is what needs to be taken care of as they can cause bigger problems if ignored or missed.

Great words of wisdom..... As the old saying goes... "The devil is in the detail." And that's what sets good mechanics apart from the bunch, being able to 'see' those details....
