Pleas help
Have a 1973 Johnson 65 hp
cannot get the idle to lower it revs so high you cannot engage the gears or it will break something.
I tried adjusting throttle cable and the bar that goes from the throttle to where shifter is the bar behind the shifter looks to be low idle issue it does not seem to spring back all the way no matter what i try. It has to go back far enogh to make contact in order to start the engine but i have to push it back then it does not stay and just revs extremely high.
