Lots of rust in fuel filter.

I have been having probs getting the proper rpms. after changing the water separator and the primmer bulb i checked the fuel filter. enough rust (i believe) came out to fill about 2 gatorade caps. if i put a new filter on will i be okay. what else should i check? maybe injectors? any thought would be appreciated.

You might have a fuel filter inside the cowl too.
What motor do you have?

That is what happens with the metal spin on filters. Go to a Racor and you won't have that problem as you can see the water and drain it out.
