The levy on one of my lakes failed last week. Lost a 20 acre surface area impoundment. The hole that blew out is large enough to probably put 4 or 5 school busses in. Fortunately there were no homes below the levy that could have gotten flooded only pasture land and a creek.
We just had that levy repaired about 8 years ago when the same type thing happened. At this point I'm not real sure what we're going to do. To repair it we will probably have to sell some timber or something. I hate it too, there was some pretty good large mouth bass and bream fishing in that lake. I'm going to post some pictures when I get some taken.
