loses all electrical power but comes back shortly?

Hi,
I have a 1990 cadorette holiday 210 with at 4.3merc As the title says - loses all electrical power but comes back shortly. It all started last weekend, I went to trim up then all the gauges went haywire and the engine would start to stall I would let go of the trim button every thing was fine, hit the trim again- same thing happened. I checked the battery terminals every thing was tight. On Sunday went out everything was fine. It did it again maybe twice. Coming in to dock turned off the boat to coast in to our anchor pole - went to trailer up & nothing. Tried to trim up & nothing. I lost all power to everything- lights, radio, trim starter. Checked the battery terminals everything was fine, then out if the blue everything turned back on went to trim up lost all power again and came back on etc. etc. I am pretty handy but electrical work I am not that good with. Any thoughts?

I would say there is a short in the trim wiring.

Bad ground wire somewhere. Check all the negative cables, both ends...

if the + trim power is connected at the starter and the - to the block, check the neg battery cable connection at the block.This does not affect trip power but make sure the clamp is snug at the main harness plug.

These engines don't run 'self-healing' breakers... Once the breaker trips it needs to be reset manually. .

Hi guys I found the problem(I think) Looked over all wires everything was good. took the battery selector apart main power cable was a little loose. cleaned all the ark marks tighten it all up went out for the full day no issues.
