Congrats guys ... bummer of a loss here, but I think a great boost for Hockey in Nashville.

Man! Crosby is pretty amazing to watch!

Congrat pens.Only thing that tainted it for me was the super quick whistle on the nashville non goal and that Crosby gets the mvp i think it should of been Jake Gensil (sp).

Good game and a lot of fun playoff action since they started! I agree it was a quick whistle, Rude, but it was a whistle and don't know how that might have impacted Murray's ability to get back???? But, if I was a Pred fan, I would understand, but still be heartsick and "what if..." there were a lot of missed calls and make up calls on both sides of the ice, so all-n-all it was fairly officiated. I don't agree with Crosby as MVP. He did carry the team on his shoulders and get them motivated a few times, but I think without Murray in net, the Pens would have never gotten past Ottawa. I was sure Murray would get MVP.

So, another year to have the Cup around Pittsburgh. Can they make it a three-peat????

Lotsa' talk about that in Nashville today - in the office and on the radio. A little moanin' and groanin', but for the most part I think the consensus was let the "calls be the calls." It hurt, but like I said - in this town, it's changed the face of hockey for a few years.

Murray was really good too. It just felt to me like Crosby was EVERYWHERE ... like two people! :)

Well its a new season now.Go JETS! If Jake G did not score 13 goals where would the pens of been then?To me sometimes the nhl can be such blind butt kissers.Good case for Murray too ,more so than sid the almighty.Im not a sid hater what i am is honest and he didnt deserve mvp and no matter how they twist it im not convinced.

I would have gone with Murray too.....

If I was a Preds fan I would have been ticked...... That's a tough pill to swallow... But, the whistle did blow.

Nashville totally got screwed in this game with that quick whistle. Sorry, but that was horrible and Murray was not getting back to get it. The whistle got called while Murray was way off to the side.

If it was reversed, you would hear Penguin fans screaming as well...and justly.

There should have beeen a game 7.

If the shoe was on the other foot, I would be as upset as the Preds and their fans are. But no matter what, refs are always second guessed in all sports.

No doubt. I take it, if a ref loses sight of the puck the whistle is blown even if a linesman can see it? I'm assuming a linesman has no say in that particular call.

Love hearing that kinda' stuff ;)

But the reality was we were probably doomed on the road in Pittsburg. I wanted 'em to win, but it was gonna' be a tough fight. Good news is, there's talk of a parade or downtown party of some sort for the team before they break up and head home for the season. Broadway should roar one more time for the NHL this year!

Article today that I thought was interesting in his first point: HERE. I was cool to be part of the fun this year.

It was an unfortunately quick whistle. Those are not rare, though, and nobody ever gets a do-over, so it is what it is. I would have loved to see a Game 7 in Pittsburgh, although I suspect the outcome would have been the same. Nothing better than a Game 7 in the Stanley Cup Finals, in my book.

Nashville is disappointed, but this Pred team really exceeded expectations. From the lowest seeded team in the playoffs to make the Finals is really remarkable. They are a good team and I think the Central will be even tougher now that the Predators have tasted a deep run in the playoffs.
