looking for new to us boat

Looking for a High performance boat 25' to 35' with a open bow configuration. Does anyone know what manufacture makes these?

SeaRay has the SLX 310, however that is more of a sofa boat vs performance boat.

I guess what I am looking for is a open bow with a v-8, want to still hold family and friends (up to 10 people) but also speed. something in the 25 to 30' range. Looking for used because I am not Scrooge McDuck LOL

nearly all bowriders above 20' have a V8.

as for speed, most big-block powered boats are 50-60mph boats. how fast do you want to go?

with or without a head / changing room?

with 10 adults on board, you may be looking more at a Sundeck style boat (larger open bow area, front boarding ladder). definitely in the 28-35' range

guessing your budget is about $30k

something like a Formula 280 Bowrider or a SeaRay 280 BR or a Cobalt 282

get the 8.1 or 8.2 motor.

Zell - I pretty much agree with Scott.

Typically bow riders are designed more for around 8 people, but some of the deck boats even in the 24' range will give you room for a few more. So, if you can boat typically with less than 10 you may be able to bring your costs down a little bit.

My fishing buddy has a SeaRay 240SD (24' sundeck). it has the 6.2 MPI / Bravo. the boat has a changing room / head and room for 13 and will hit about 52mph

duuuuude.... I almost pulled the trigger on a mid 70's woody with that totally my plan a few months back. Wife 'talked' me out of it.

How can it be possible that we are married to the same woman? Actually that's not fair talking about my wife, she just makes more sence than I do. Better to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission.

I have never seen a bowrider cuddy before. Then again the marinas I use are low budget. A boat less than 10 years old get ewwws and aaaws.
