Re: looking for glastron horn

Is it the trumpet style with the chrome trumpet on the exterior, or a interior one that blows through a grille? If the trumpet style you could get one of the air horns from harbor freight they are like $12-15 and come with everything you need they are chrome and put out a loud blast. If just the reg type any wrecking yard would have one cheap, I wouldn't pay for a "marine" horn from anyone. I kind of like the look of the chrome trumpets on the older boats anyway, the reg ones were never too stout but the air horns you can actually hear.

I agree. I have the original horn on my 1975 and though I haven't actually tested it, I'm most likely going to switch it out for something a little more stout...I can imagine a 30 year old horn is going to sound like a dying goose.
