Wow a 42' deep V at Triton. Didn'y know they had that much water up there!
There's a great group of us that hang out in various places like Cabin John Creek, Sand Island, The Flats, Lloyd Creek.
If you're new to the area, pay attention to the charts and you'll be A-OK.
Hope to see you 'out there'!
Ya they have enough water to get in and out of there...at high tide. I'm about 1/2 mile below you at Elkmore. Seriously you might have problems getting to the C&D at low tide cause most of the channel down there is 4-6' deep at mid tide. Be very careful of a HUGE sand bar right in the middle of the river right out from EKlmore, I've seen several boats grounded there over the years. If you can, drive down to the Elkmore docks whenever there is a blow-out tide and you can see the entire bar, then avoid it at all costs.
Thanks for the info, yes I know that shallow area out from elkmore well we've had a 21' center console up at Locust Point the last 3 years and I've fished the area all over. I'm thinking we will be good draft wise my ocean will draft 3'6" Walt said he has a couple 50'ers in the marina and gave me a slip on the front row pretty deep out by the gas dock, we are on the fixed not floating its deeper out there. We will be bringing up the boat from Oriental NC sometime late march and look forward to hanging out! You guys have big boys at Elkmore as well!!!
