Looking for dashbroad

How do I find and replace the old dashbroad for my 1972 17 ft. DUO ROAMER. The present one looks like the last owner took two pieces of wood and a metal floor threshold and made a bad looking dashbroad. Any ideas on how and where I can find something better??? Please Help!!!

You might get lucky and find one on Ebay, Craigslist or at a Boating flea market...But your best bet is to make a new one...
If you can get some pictures up of what you are trying to do, the guys here might be able to walk you through the fabrication of a new dashboard...

the dash boards on 72's were mostly flat panel.

in that case, you can just cut out a piece of alum, and pin stripe and paint.

if you want to fab a cool one with a totally different shape....that is another story...

but lets get some pics up first and more of an idea what you are wanting to do?

I went to a shingles bar once and all the dashbroads had red rashes all over them... I made like a tree and got out of there!
