Hi guys, I'm looking at a 1986 Larson DC 190 with 4 cyl. engine, the guy is asking $5000, the boat looks to be in excellent condition. Is there anything I should be wary of? Is this a decent price? Thanks for help.
Where do you live??? There are a lot newer boats here in the south for that price if not a little more. Why buy an older boat when you can get a newer one (granted both are in good shape) for the same price if not a little more?
Price sounds high for that year. 4 cyl sounds small for a 19'. I would especially be concerned if it was a Merc 470 which was a troublesome design and has a number of critical NLA parts.
That does seem a little high. Granted, I don't know where you are. For comparison, I bought my 1992 20' Wellcraft Excel w/4.3 Volvo last year for 4500. All new interior and 12 speaker Sony Xplode sound system. No rot and everything works.
I think you can find a better deal with some more searching.
