Noticed this today on two of my boats.

Same family I would say. There are other matches on both boats as well.

Who was casting all the deck hardware way back when?

Very few boat companies made their own hardware. They made the hull and cap. Everything else was an accessory. As far as the names of the companies that made hardware back then, dunno.
