location of steering rod

im trying to figure which of the 3 holes on the steering arm to put the rod/link into.<br />the motor is 1988 140 tx, using a 1995 225 tx bracket assembly.<br />or does it even matter?<br />thanx

They are marked;<br />D -- drag link<br />P -- power <br />T --tie bar<br /><br />If you have a single push pull cable, D is for you.<br /><br />Good luck!

thanx, couldnt remember which hole i was using on the old arm.
