I just purchased a 1997 nitro 700lx with a older 90hp johnson on it. my question is if i put a older 9.9 mercury on will the steering and throtle linkage work?
Usually Johnson and Merc controls aren't compatible. If the control is after market, sometimes cables can be changed to match the motor. Is the Merc 9.9 a tiller motor?
