Life raft advice for small charter boat

i need to purchase primary life saving (life raft) for 10 people to complete my Coast Guard Cert. We're on a inland lake so I don't need to get too crazy. Looking for the simplest and most cost effective raft or rafts to get to 10 people, like a 6 person and a 4 person. Any suggestions on brands or models? thanks

Why don't you check with your local authorities. If they require you to have a life raft, I would bet they have specifics on the type and other specs you need to satisfy before being certified.

Ok, I checked my Chapman's Piloting book, just a few things it says about life rafts: If you operate more than several miles off shore you should have it, it should be stowed on deck, it should have gas cylinder inflation, balast pockets, insulated floor, canopy, boarding ladder, lifelines, locator lights, survival and first aid kit, a rain water collector, sea anchor, EPIRB, and other signaling devices, it should accommodatet the largest number of people likely to be aboard. There is alot more in the book about life rafts, when to use them, what to expect and so on.
