I have 1999 5.7 alfia mercusier. It will come up on a plane and run about 500 ft then it will shut down, it will crank back up after a while but you have to idle back to the boat ramp.Any help would be greatly aprecated. thanks
Its carb. 2barrel it still has gas, im not to sure about the spark. havent got that far not a boat mac. but know about engines, .I was told by one person i might be the moudle. this motor has it on the water jacket.
Don't worry about what part is causing no spark until you find out if missing spark is the problems. The module doesn't normally come and go after 500ft.
thanks i will look about the spark. Ihave already put a new water sepaerator on drain all the gas out of the tank blowed air in the tank incase the little filter in the tank was stopped up put new gas in same problem so next its spark. I thank you very much for you input.
