Oh well--once a fan, always a fan. I'm already looking forward to the Black & Gold winning the Superbowl next year.

They could have had this trophy if Big Ben didn't throw the game away!

I wouldn't put it all on Ben ... one pass he was hit in the arm which didn't let him follow through, although if he hadn't given the throw away with the pump fake, it might not have been covered. The other pass was trying to squeeze it in there ... Wallace was interferred with, but should have caught the ball ... defense just wanted it more.

The fumble, well, Mendenhall actually had a hold of the ball and was not carrying it like a loaf of bread ... good defensive hit that jarred it loose. The turnovers cost Pittsburgh the game, but the turnovers were created by the Packer Defense.

Steelers are a great team, or they wouldn't have been in the game.
Packers were in the right place at the right time.

I couldn't disagree more.

I'm MOSTLY with aspeck on this, Ben (nor any other Steelers) did not GIVE the game away. The Packers MADE those plays. The arm hit, great play B.J. Rahi. The second interception, excellent read by the D-Back, perfectly timed (NO interfence at all. Sorry Speck, it was a CLEAN play). Great play, Jarrett Bush. The fumble, Rashard was hit hard by 2 guys, the second right on his arm. Great play Clay Matthews, Jr.
While I am sad the Steelers lost, I feel better than when they lost to the Cowboys. THAT was a total Giveaway (Just look at the game stats and you'll see the Steelers were "dominant"). Darn you Neil O'Donnell and the receivers.
This was Green Bay playing better and winning the game. It happens all the time, it's the NFL. (Heck, the Browns beat the Patriots this past season, after all!)

Tilliam, we really agree more than you think. I did say interferred with on the second interception, but my feelings on that play are more from a fans point of view than an objective point of view. I do think there was contact and it could have been called, or it could have been a non-call. I could justify or argue either way. Because I can argue either way, then the official really did make a good non-call.
