Thats plenty worth celebrating. One might say life altering. Enjoy the downtime and congrats on the good news.

Still have colon cancer, but caught very early so not worried. Surgery Tuesday morning. For some reason the lung scared me more than the poop chute.

Ok, so consistent drip out of the keel drain hole when I left boat conne Ted to truck, pretty much level. The water level was above the thru hulls and nothing there. Drained for a few minutes and lowered to the lowest possible on the tounge jack and stopped. So, rain next couple days and afterwards I'll crawl under and look more closely.

My 15' tinner sat all winter level in the shop. Now that its propped up at the tongue, the keel and both strakes are dripping a little. The hull has absolutely zero leaks.

Sounds right. The strakes aren't watertight like the hull. They have weep holes to drain so water doesnt freeze and expand inside them.

I know this sounds odd, but the seam sealer will expand the more it's exposed to water. I had an extreme example of this on a wee 12 footer at the weekend hideaway for many years. Every spring it would nearly sink in a foot of water then it sat at a dock all summer with no problems. Still leaked some under power, but some removeable floors kept everything high and dry. Free boat, beat it up for 12 more years. Dont even know who built it. lol

interesting. That has been the bane of my existence on all this is the inconsistencies, both on and off the water but bottom line is the amount going in is 1000% greater than what comes out. That one really messes my mind.

Run an electricians tape/snake through the length of the hull. See what you come up with. Only thing that comes to mind is foam turned to sponge. Other than putting up with it, I'd say your headed for a project. Personally, I'm passed "full on" projects. I say that now, but.....

Thoughts on 5300 v sika 291? I want to use from the underside in the joints. I believe the silicone one the po had used is coming loose as I use the boat.

5200 is NOT UV stable. Sika 291 is. based on the failures I have personally had over the years, Sika or Lifecaulk.

I know a guy that wasn’t terribly concerned about speed and just peened all the rivets and then coated the bottom with truck bed liner.
He’s been leak free ever since and has no concerns with beaching the boat.

If silicone was used previously, nothing may stick to that surface....one of the downsides of using silicone besides the fact it doesn't last.

I planned on acetone then wire brush then acetone then fill? And this is just to hopefully stem the flow until I can replace floor and work internally.
