On a 2001 bayliner, mercruiser 4.3 liter inboard.
I have a leak in the hydraulic pump. I found where it is leaking and wonder if I need to replace the whole pump or can it be fixed. the leak is where the hydraulic reservoir fit over the belt driven pump. the reservoir looks like a casing around the round pump cylinder driven by the belt.
Do you think I have some bad O-ring or something like that I can change or do I need to replace the complete hydraulic pump.
thanks

Most power steering pumps use an "O" ring seal for the res.

I am guessing your are referring to the power steering pump. You should be able to find a replacement at an auto wrecking yard. 2 things to be aware of 1. replace round with round or teardrop with teardrop. 2. Make sure the return line (slip on hose fitting) will clear your application.
