Hello!

I am new to this forum. I have actually read a lot of your threads, an inspiration to my own restoration project. I am from Greece and I have
completed a restoration of a Lambro Mariner V180 80s boat, probably a Sea Ray SRV 180 Greek made copy. I decided to make a blog to log my project. The site is small-boat-restoration.blogspot.com

I will appreciate any comments, or ideas.

I had a great summer with my boat but now I intend to add some extra length, change the gas tank, repaint it, maybe repower it.... The winter is coming which is perfect timing for some more restoration/reconstructing works!

Nice work vstrat. I particularly like your flooring. Interesting that they were not building walkthru windshields in the 80's. And yes....every body, everywhere (70's & 80's) was copying SeaRay hulls. They refer to them as knockoffs over here. I think manufacturers started patenting their hull designs after that period.

Re: Lambro Mariner V180 restoration

Thank you for your comments. Bellow are some pictures of the boat's current condition. During summer I have added a few things such as benches/storage boxes with cushions made of plywood, an auxiliary outboard engine (Suzuki 6hp), bow lights, stern "platform" light, stainless steel bow rails and more.

Now its perfect time for some things to be re-done, and of course to add some extra features.

For the next months to come, I plan to do the following:

- Add an extra 1m of hull length as a hull-extending swim-platform. The hull will have to be repainted together with its extension
- Replace the 90lt gas tank with a larger one
- Replace the wooden flooring Iroko stripes with a teak-faced plywood sheet
- Re-construct the dash and helm

I plan to start this weekend by first removing all the stern gear (lights, trim tabs etc)

Why are you replacing the Iroko deck already? It looks great. Is it not holding up well?

I am planning to build a swim platform and was considering Iroko as a possible alternative to teak, which is so expensive.
