ernest no lures generally single hook # 12 through 18 single plastic egg or fly works best for me. You want to fish them on a float anyway so about 8 feet leader 2-4 #2 ball barrel splits and your off to the races. Look for me there starting late August generally at the falling rocks

Sorry Miloman, I missed your post on April 8
I like to think the Credit River is a little or
maybe a lot like some parts of the Skeena River
in B.C. The Chinook are absolutely the ultimate
fly rod fish, especially while wading.I have a
9wt fenwick I use just for that purpose.I sure
enjoy going back from time to time.If your there
when the salmon come through you can catch them
just like you say.My best to date is 56 lbs
some of my Friends I grew up with have landed them
over 70 lbs.

Re: Lake Trout Techniques

Finally went out to Heron Lake (the winds have been horrible in NM lately) I had good luck catching a 31 inch 10 lb laker trolling a rainbow bomber :D Shortly after I caught it, the winds picked up horribly and I spent the rest of the day/evening at camp. Today I planned on fishing again, but the winds continued to howl, so I packed it up and came on home. Too bad that mackinaw come out when spring winds are hitting hard.
