Hi Folks!

I have a Kohler 5e generator that's located in a 2006 Bayliner 325 SB. I am looking to do a maintenance kit on it but cannot seem to find the difference between a 5ECD and 5EKD, or do I really just have a 5E?

Looking at the sea spare kits, I see two different kits - http://www.kohlerpower.com/common/pdfs/seaSpares.pdf

Then, I also found this information for spark plugs vs. what's listed on the above link:

MODEL 5E and 7.3E use p/n 359979-A
Exception: If your
Engine Model is AS 04, use 359796
For MODEL 4EFCD, 6EFCD, 5ECD, and 7.3ECD:

So many choices!! :) Any assist would be great! Pic attached.

Alright I called Kohler Customer Service and I was able to get the correct kit! The correct kit number is GM12310.

Interesting question - has anyone made a video of swapping of the brushes, fuses, etc on a 5E?

Brushes last a long time. Fuses usually only blow when something else goes bad.
Replace plugs and impeller every year.
