I just bought an this old bass boat and it has a mercury 50hp 500series with a thunderbolt ignition. the SN for the motor is 3577284. The motor starts and could use some plugs but ran decent. I believe that this boat and motor and trailer are all the original package. Would the boat/motor be a 1977? The boat is about 16' and has two seats as shown. However the steering stick is stuck back at the motor end and upon taking it out the whole bushing came out of the housing above the transom mounts because of the inner rod being stuck. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? How much is an assembly for that? One would think it would be hard to find by for parts that are motor specific for a boat this old. Also, is there a boat manual I could get for this or is this problem go with the motor so I'd need a motor manual? I'm sure I'll have a few more questions so I'll keep you posted.

Re: Kingfisher 152PRO

There are rarely if ever an owners manual for a boat....... now the outboard motor is another story. Yes get yourself a manual.

I have no experience with stick steering but I imagine if you can get a brand name off it.... you will need a new cable. iboats sells steering cables but I am not certain they sell one for stick steering.

Re: Kingfisher 152PRO

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I need info!
I have the exact same boat, and finally got it registered & ready to run. I am in great hopes that some one knows the weight capacity & # of occupants.
I want to take my wife & 2 kids out sight seeing around the local lake, but for fishing just me & my boy. I just wanna make sure I'm not over weight, or passenger limit.
