Just hung up with Ford and my bill has popped up to $1100 and change.

This is on my 2005 Expedition. I can't even remember everything, but it's getting a tranny flush and fill, the infamous spark plug replacement, fuel system service and in line fuel filter, MAF sensor cleaned, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

Oh...the dreaded sparkplug issue. They sure screwed everyone on that one. How many broke or do you know yet?

When he called me about the MAF sensor the plugs were done. Unless I misunderstood none of them broke. I think they've gotten pretty good at getting them out. I knew about that issue when I bought the truck. What really hacked me off was the throttle body issue. It's a huge, well documented problem they refuse to address. Oh bother.:grumpy:

Well at least you didn't need to go through the 4.0 SOHC timing chain issues, I had to replace the engine in my Explorer back in Oct because such a **** poor design and materials used!

As I am getting 10 or so spammer emails a day and being assaulted here with Fords ads I sorta wish they would go broke and put an end to this nonsense.

Yea, it does not look like Ford is going broke any time soon . . . ad Blockers like has been mentioned, but I am wondering if you went to a Ford site or clicked on a Ford Ad, and now are getting the full dose.

BTW - I like the re-styling of the Ford Fusion, and the Escort is pretty neat looking too.

How would I get a Mustang Boss 302 Ad to pop up? :noidea:

And it can fly. I seen it on the TV! Even after I spent 1700 bucks on my Expedition it won't fly, at least not for long.

Escort? They haven't made an Escort in over 10 years sir... Perhaps you're thinking of the Focus or the Fiesta?

I'm not a Ford man, but I do agree, I like the new styling of the Fusion. And yep, the Escort was last produced in 2003.....

Why couldn't they just have stuck with Galaxie, Fairlane, Falcon, etc . . . .

They were making the Fairlane up till 2007, and the Falcon is still currently in production .

As mentioned, there are solutions to your problems. Find the closest geek and have him 1) tweak your browser to eliminate the storage/transmission of data that generates your misery, and 2) install a quality ad blocker and email program with adequate spam (junk) filters knowing that nothing will stop all. Your anguish requires much less to assuage than the death of one company. Which wouldn't stop it from happening again, anyway spam technology is way ahead of spam filters ...
