Saw a few kids movies lately. Two that I thought were pretty entertaining for the adults that have to suffer through some of these productions, are Megamind and Tangled.

Megamind is an original story about two babies that come to earth as their home planets are destroyed (like superman). One grows up to be a super hero, the other a super villain. Pretty funny stuff, all CG.

Tangled is the Disney version of Rapunzel and her golden locks. It too had its moments that had me laughing out loud. The scene in a bar full of ruffians called the "yellow duck" is memorable.

The Megamind flick is almost worth going to see without the kids. I really got a kick out of it. Good storyline, and good character development. And every time you think you know what is going to happen, your wrong. Plus there is adult humor all through the movie, like this Oboma spoof poster scene:

So for those of you who have 5-12 year olds that these movies are targeted for, these two will keep you entertained as well as your kids.

Enjoy!

Mark.

Watched Toy story 3 with my 5 year old the other day. It was pretty good! Liked the "Mr Tortilla Head" scene. I don't like all the movie trailers on Disney DVDs though.

I'm currently watching the Cars movie with my 3 year old for the 147th time. It was pretty good the first 20 times :p

My daughter and I saw it in the theater, whenever that was. Still watch it on tv together. It's amazing how kids can watch a movie today and watch it again in a few days. I just don't get it!

Don't have young kids anymore, but the wife and I still enjoy "kids" movies.
We saw Bolt 3D, and Toystory 3D when they came out in the theaters.
I still like watching Monsters, Inc. I think that has to be one of my favorite kiddie movie.
