kicker motor Question

I have a Carolina skiff and want to put a kicker motor on it. How long should the shaft be ?? Can I get away with a short shaft with the bracket that raises and lowers the motor to the water. ?

for a kicker, as long as the prop n water pickup are in the water ur fine

if you plan to use in ocean swells you may want a longer shaft to keep the prop IN and powerhead OUT of the water but inland a shortshaft is fine

A pic would help because you gave no info on the size and model of C/S. If possible get a long shaft even if you use an adjustable bracket, it helps to keep the power head out of the water when it gets rough.
