Re: keeping hull from spreading, help
When i poped the top on my boat i didnt brace my hull. It is a 15ft boat if that matters, but i replaced all the wood in the location that i took it out. When i put the top back on i had some trouble mainly based on inexperience. Ended up buying a case of beer and calling 5 friends to come help push the hull in evenly on both sides. Start with the bow and work to the transom. The only problem was when the screws went in they pushed the wood strip they anchor to out. I ended up having a friend push the wood in as i screwed the screws.
