I'm not sure how you got pictures while this was going on ?
I was kicking myself that I didn't take pictures before I took the cowling off and then before I hit the flames with the fire extinguisher. But the "fire fighter" in me took precedence over the photographer in me ... Now I just replay the brown and white smoke billowing out of every possible place of the cowling and moving across the water with Deep Purple singing "Smoke on the Water" in my head.

The oil here doesn't foam like it used to in the 80s/90s. My old 4spd dart is the only one I run non synthetic. It'd be pushing 4000 or more at 100 with the 355s in it. When I had the 391s in it, it ran at 3200 at 70. The price of gas thes days it sees a lot less road than a couple years ago.

Old story ....as soon as we get back from town we remember something else we need :D Huh , doesnt seen that long ago that I said " peeps just wont pay more than a dollar a litre ":rolleyes::)
