just got a new 73 cobalt

hello i just got a 73 cobalt i know nothing about boats but ive been learning about them. im trying to find out what size motor it has its an inboard motor 188hp mercruiser (least thats what the valve cover and the boat says) but most of the parts on the motor say ford is there anyway i can find out what kind of motor i have????

yep, that's what ya have. 188hp mercruiser... a ford 302 v8. here's where ya can find out the facts.....
