Re: just a question
You know, SBL, I used to do that. . .jump from one idea to another without developing any of them.
My mentors called it "thinking out loud" and patiently explained why each idea was impractical or not good for some other reason.
My Mom called it daydreaming and yelled at me for "wasting time" and quoted Shakespeare, something about a "tale told by an idiot . . . full of sound and fury and signifying nothing."
We know that I am not an idiot and I don't believe you are an idiot, though some folks would disagree on both of us.
Thinking back, I think it was more like a kid with one penny in a candy store who wants to know the price of every item in the case but is unwilling to settle on one and part with his penny.
It drives folks like Summer Fun crazy. They really, really want to help but every time they offer anything they feel rejected when you ignore them. That simply isn't fair.
I doubt that you really want to do any of those ideas. I think, down deep inside, that you just want to talk about boats until you know everything. The problem is that your friends here expect something to happen and nothing is happening. That is very frustrating.
I suggest that you scale down your ideas to one small thing that you can DO today, then DO it. Then another small idea that you can DO in a short amount of time, then DO that one.
When something is really happening, however small, you will be a lot more credible.
Good luck.
