Johnson Sea-Horse 15hp 2-Stroke Dosent Run!

hey guys,
i have a johnson sea-horse 15hp 2-stroke [i have no idea what year, but is pretty old] and im not sure what is wrong. basically i dosent run when in neutral, but when in gear it only runs on full throttle.
i had replaced a coil, but not getting as much of a spark as the other coil, i was told it was the points, so switched over the leads to test and im still getting bugger all spark from the replaced coil, ive also got new spark plugs. its pretty much running on one cylinder

wonder if you have a bad plug wire? Make sure that you have the coil lined up right with the plate and not back to far. Not sure what you mean by (switched over the leads.

swap the coils see if the problem follows. When setting the points be sure the flywheel key is lined up with the rubbing block.
Model number would sure help.Usually on the mounting bracket.
