I'm trying to figure out what year this motor is or range of years. I can't find a serial number anywhere. Thank you.

Thank you. I also want to replace this throttle. Where do I start looking . Do they make new units for this engine or do I need to look for a good used one. I'm new to boating.

Your location?----Parts are available.----Or shop E-bay for used controls.----In my opinion there are hundreds of used controls like that to be found. ----Might have to move handle to mount like yours.----A 5 minute job.

They make new units that you can buy but you have to purchase the adapter cord with it.

You should have the big red plug in back at the motor. I think your remote is a 79 series but I forget. Any remote similar to that.... that has a big red plug at the motor, you can use. Yours has the trim and tilt feature so you have to buy a remote that has that. Not all of them have that.

I get them is my area for $50 to $100 used but eBay typically is $150 to $250. Right now they seem to priced high so maybe there getting harder to get.

Being in Florida used ones might be hard to find. I live in the great NW....right on the salt but our salt is nothing compared to yours.
