johnson 90hp 1998 upper motor mount

I was told its not common to have one break, is this true? Can i just pull off the power head and do the repair without pulling off the lower unit? The play comes from the region of the upper motor mount.

Is this a 60* or 90* mtr ??

60? and just pulled the powerhead off, all it well under there. I suppose now that its maybe a lower motor mount?
